Building Community Through Music

Beyond the classroom, Chuck co-founded Cooking Caravan, a community-driven program built on one guiding idea: Feed the Change. Rooted in the mission to Eat, Educate, and Entertain, Caravan brings food, music, and performance together to create meaningful experiences that strengthen communities. Whether cooking, creating, or celebrating together, the goal is always connection first—transformation follows.

As a recording artist and DJ performing under the name pRODUCT, and as a photographer and videographer, Chuck continues to explore music and visual storytelling as tools for connection, reflection, and healing. The name pRODUCT is intentional—a reminder that we are all shaped by our unique worlds, and that what we create and share matters.

All of these paths come together in the work Chuck does today. Whether he’s leading a music class, telling stories, cooking with communities, or performing, his goal remains the same: to build creative spaces where people—especially kids of all ages—can feel seen, heard, and included.

When that happens, creativity becomes the bridge—and community begins to grow.

About Mr. Chuck

Chuck Johnson, known as Mr. Chuck, is a music educator, author, and performer who blends education and creativity to inspire kids of all ages—yes, the little ones, the big ones, and sometimes the grown-ups too. With a background in early childhood development and a deep love of storytelling, he uses music and movement to encourage self-expression, confidence, and joy.

At the heart of his work is a simple belief: kids are shaped by the worlds they grow up in. Every sound they hear, every story they’re told, and every moment of play becomes part of how they see themselves and the world around them. In many ways, we are all products of our environments—and when those environments are creative, supportive, and expressive, kids of all ages thrive.

That belief led Chuck to study Family Studies at Ohio University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Human and Consumer Sciences. He was drawn to understanding how families, communities, and early experiences shape development. Around the same time, music was becoming more than a passion—it was becoming a language he could use to connect, teach, and create change.

As his path led deeper into early childhood education, Chuck saw firsthand how powerful that combination could be. In classrooms, music and movement unlocked confidence, helped regulate emotions, and brought kids together. Songs became tools. Stories became bridges. The classroom became his laboratory—a place to experiment, listen, adjust, and grow alongside the kids.

That hands-on process led to the creation of Potty Rock!, a classroom-built potty training book and song that turns potty time into party time—helping kids and families approach a big milestone with humor, music, and positivity.
